Indian batting legend Sachin Tendulkar completed 25,000 runs in First-Class cricket while playing for Mumbai against Rest of India in the Irani Trophy match on Friday. He was unbeaten on 105 when he went past the landmark. He has taken 303 matches to achieve this feat.
This is his 81st first-class century. He brought it up with a single off S Sreesanth. His knock included 12 boundaries and two sixes.
This knock will give the man a lot of confidence ahead of a tough series against Australia, starting from February 22.
After retiring from limited-over format of the game, Tendulkar has done well for Mumbai in the Ranji Trophy and has carried his form into the Irani Cup.
With this ton, he will hope to take the momentum into the four-match Test series against Australia.
