While India is battling it out with the English cricketers on the field in the third Test match at Eden Gardens in Kolkata, delicacies are flooring the home team players.
According to Saba Nayakan’s Hindu Business Line report, MS Dhoni, who generally doesn’t prefer sweets, loves the Rajbhog that is being served to him at Kolkata.
The caterers of Bijoligrill said, “He loves it. If we provide other sweets, he will ask for Rajbhog!”
The writer also reveals how the Indian cricketers relished the delicious food, unlike their English counterparts who were finicky.
Sachin Tendulkar’s love for sushi is not unknown. However, the Little Master not only favours the dish, he has also made the Japanese delicacy an instant hit among his teammates who held initial reservations towards it.
Indian opener, Virender Sehwag, who had made public his disappointement over the quality of food being served to the players by local associations, is also satisfied with what Kolkata had to offer to the foodie.
While Indian players are relishing and pampering their taste buds, England players are content with dal and rice. Unlike Bengal’s famous fish servings, they are doing with lamb and chicken. Different varities of bread are also being served to them with margarine.
