India’s most loved personality and one of the finest batsmen the world has ever seen, Sachin Tendulkar is currently enjoying his post-retirement career. From opening the innings for India, Tendulkar has moved on to opening new business ventures across the country. His business ventures have no specific field but are more to do with his beliefs. Tendulkar, who retired in 2013, narrated an incident through a post on LinkedIn about what led to him finally calling it curtains on an illustrious career.

On the eve of a Champions League T20 (CLT20) game for Mumbai Indians (MI) in Delhi, Tendulkar felt that he no longer enjoyed getting up early and going for his gym routine; a habit which he followed for 24 years. Tendulkar recalled Sunil Gavaskar and Billy Jean King, who have spoken in length about when one should listen to their body and mind, and not heed into indescribable feelings. Sachin Tendulkar wants Indians to make sport a part of fitness regime

Tendulkar then for the first time pondered about retiring and talked to his near and dear ones about the same. Rushes of India winning the ICC Cricket World Cup 2011 flashed before his eyes indicating that his childhood dream came true. Retiring from the game, Tendulkar feels that it has given him freedom to choose what he wants to do.  While his cricketing career was all about his dream coming true, his post-retirement life is all about achieving satisfaction.

Tendulkar, since his retirement, has indulged into various corporate social responsibility (CSR) campaigns. From adopting a village (Puttamraju Kandriga) in Andhra Pradesh, lighting up 73 villages across India under the project ‘Spreading Happiness‘ to joining hands with Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi for the Swacch Bharat Abhiyan, Tendulkar has constantly given back to the society in more ways than one. Sachin Tendulkar roped in as an influencer by LinkedIn
