Accolades for Indian legend Sachin Tendulkar keep pouring in three months after walking in into the sunset after bidding farewell to the game. On the eve of the India-Pakistan clash in Asia Cup 2014, Network 18 group installed a 25-foot steel bat — the biggest in the world and weighing over two tones near Sachin’s residence in Bandra, Mumbai.
The ‘Bat of Honour’ was unveiled by the master himself on Sunday, March 2, amidst many eminent personalities from all walks of life in the locality. The bat, made out of stainless-steel also bears the words of Sachin’s immortal farewell speech on November 16, 2013, which left a lump in the throat of everyone who loves the game.
