Sachithra Senanayake, the Sri Lankan off-spinner, who was reported for suspected bowling action during Sri Lanka’s tour of England in June, is remodeling his bowling action. He recently completed 10 days of remedial work on his bowling action in University of Western Australia, Perth.
Senanayake was banned from bowling after independent analysis of his action was carried out in Cardiff and submitted to the International Cricket Council (ICC). Subsequently, he has spent 10 days at the in Perth working with Darryl Foster, to concentrate on remodelling his action.
The off-spinner, who has played one Test, 35 One-Day Internationals and 17 Twenty20 Internationals since making his international debut in 2012 now undergo an independent analysis by the Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC). If Senanayake clears that than he will get the clearance for making a comeback in international cricket.
