Sanath Jayasuriya released from hospital after minor heart surgery

Sanath Jayasuriya, Sri Lanka‘s former opening batsman and currently the chief selector of their national team has successfully undergone a minor heart surgery. The doctors used a stent for one of his coronary arteries so as to clear blockade. He has also been allowed to leave the hospital.
Jayasuriya was receiving treatment at Nawaloka Hospital for a few days until he was released. Jayasuriya has been told to take complete rest till he recovers from it. He would go through the recovery process at his home, a spokesman for the Sri Lankan great was quoted as saying by dailymirror.lk.
Jayasuriya, known for his power-hitting played 100 Tests, 445 One-Day Internationals (ODIs) 31 Twenty20 Internationals (T20Is) for his country. He went onto score 14 Test hundreds as well as 28 centuries in ODIs.
