After the success of ICC World XI tour at Lahore, Shahid Afridi has asked the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) to organise cricket in other centres as well. Lahore hosted the World XI for 3-match T20I series last month. Afridi was of the view that it was high time PCB considered bringing international cricket to Karachi and other cites as well.

According to Geo.tv, speaking at an event in Lahore, Afridi said, “PCB should go beyond Lahore and try to organise international matches in Karachi and other cities, so that the world can know all of Pakistan is safe.”

He further adds, “The purpose should be to show the world that not just Lahore, but all of Pakistan is safe.”

Afridi was at the inauguration of a school that has been run by his charity, Shahid Afridi Foundation. Speaking on the school’s opening, he said, “My people have given me so much love over the past 20 years, now it’s time for me to give back.”

Afridi’s comments come at a time when the Sri Lankan cricketers are mulling over playing the third and final T20I of their series against Pakistan at Lahore.
