Shikhar Dhawan is one of the entertainer of the game on field with his Kabaddi -style celebration and mustache twirling. He makes sure the stand near to him is the most active during matches. In an interview at Breakfast with Champions with Gaurav Kapoor, Dhawan revealed the reason behind his Kabaddi-style celebration which he usually does after taking a catch.

It is very entertaining

Dhawan says the celebration came from his liking for the game of Kabaddi. “I started the Kabaddi-style celebration first in Australia when I took a catch to dismiss Shane Watson. I enjoy watching Kabaddi. It is very entertaining for me. I do this with all my heart and that’s why maybe people also like it. Whenever I stand at the boundary, fans see me and re-enact my kabaddi-style celebration.”

Dhawan had a decent Indian Premier League (IPL) season scoring 497 runs in 16 matches. He will now be fighting for the opening spot in the Indian Test side against Afghanistan with Murli Vijay and KL Rahul  in the squad. Rahul on the other hand has been in the form of his life this IPL season scoring 659 runs in 14 matches with 6 half centuries.
