In the Hong Kong Sixes tournament, Sohail Tanvir is set to don the captain’s hat. The world record holder of 5 for 3 in CPL against Barbados Tridents in 2017 will have teammate Mohammad Sami in the squad. As they will enter the tournament this month, Pakistan will look for the sixth victory. Sohail will be captaining experienced provincial players along with a few youngsters. In the lot, Sami is the most experienced player who has played 36 Tests, 87 ODIs and 13 T20 matches.

The youngest member in the side is 21-year old Sahibzada Farhan, who has not yet played an international match for the national side. However, he has been called as a reserved player. Another player who will on reserves is Bilawal Bhatti, as reported on scmp.com. The squad also comprises of Anwar Ali, Jaahid Ali and Hammad Azam.

Major (retired) Naeem Akhar Gilani will be the team manager for the event. Pakistan won the inaugural edition on 1992. They then emerged victorious in 1997, 2001, 2002 and 2011.

On other occasions, they have been runners-up in the years 2003, 2006, 2010 and 2012. Pakistan hold most number of victories (5) along with England. The latter have been ended up as runners-up four times.
