Aiden Markram’s 143 helped South Africa fight back but could not stop Australia from closing in on victory on Day Four of the first Test in Durban. South Africa are hanging at 293 for 9 with 124 more to win. South Africa were lingering at 49 for 4 until Markram changed the course of the innings. He added 87-run stand with Theunis de Bruyn (26) and 147-run stand with Quinton de Kock, who is still playing on 81. With Markram’s dismissal began South Africa’s collapse. Mitchell Starc holds 4 wickets while Josh Hazlewood has scalped 2 so far.

The live telecast of the match will be available on Sony Six and Sony Six HD. Whereas, the live streaming of the match will be on SonyLIV.

Markram, who brought up his third Test century, showed good composure. His 213-ball innings included 19 boundaries.

De Kock and Morne Morkel survived nine overs in ever-deteriorating light against Steven Smith and Nathan Lyon before the umpires called the day off. Australia are now just a wicket away from victory. The day also saw, Warner and de Kock involved in an off-field argument while heading to the dressing room at tea.
