Australia are all set for the opening match of the 4-Test series against South Africa. Australia dominated in The 2017-18 Ashes, winning it 4-0, while South Africa lost the final Test against India but won the series 2-1. The return of Faf du Plessis and Quinton de Kock will be positives for the host. Australia had won the three-day warm up match against South Africa A by 5 wickets. Steven Smith has confirmed the playing XI for the first Test will be the same that had lifted The Ashes in Sydney. The live telecast of the match will be available on Sony Six and Sony Six HD. Whereas, the live streaming of the match will be on SonyLIV.

Both teams will look forward to win the opening Test and take lead in the series. South Africa have included uncapped Heinrich Klaasen as a back-up wicketkeeper. Klaasen put up an impressive show in the limited-overs matches after de Kock was ruled out due to wrist injury.
