Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) suffered an early jolt on Wednesday’s IPL 2016 Eliminator match against the Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR), when their opening batsman Shikhar Dhawan was dismissed in the second over. Dhawan fell on the final ball of the second over from Morne Morkel, and he was dismissed for 10 off as many balls. Dhawan made some room to play a late-cut, but missed the line completely and his middle stump was knocked down by the lanky Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) pacer. Dhawan made 10 runs, which included two glorious boundaries. After 3 overs, SRH were 15 for 1 with David Warner and Moises Henriques at the crease. David Warner was batting on 4 off 7 balls, while his Australian teammate Moises Henriques, who has recently been recalled into the Test side, was off the mark with a single on the first ball he faced.

Earlier in the game, KKR captain Gautam Gambhir won the toss and elected to field first. Both the teams made a few changes, with KKR bringing in Morkel for Shakib Al Hasan and Rajagopal Sathish coming in for Ankit Rajpoot.

On the other hand, the Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) brought in Ben Cutting for the New Zealand batsman Kane Williamson and Bipul Sharma replaced the right-arm spinner Karn Sharma. The winner of this game will face the Gujarat Lions (GL) in the Qualifier 2 of IPL 2016, and the match will be played on Friday night at the Feroz Shah Kotla Stadium in Delhi.
