It has been almost two years since Chennai Super Kings (CSK) made their appearance in the most cash-rich tournament of them all — the Indian Premier League (IPL). The Men in Yellow side has a massive fan-following, a lot of which has to do with the fact that they were led by MS Dhoni. CSK also featured IPL superstars like Ravichandran Ashwin, Suresh Raina, Ravindra Jadeja, Ashish Nehra, Brendon McCullum, Faf du Plessis, Dwayne Bravo and Dwayne Smith. Two-times champion CSK and IPL’s first winner Rajasthan Royals (RR) are suspended from the tournament for two years because their chief officials Gurunath Meiyappan and Raj Kundra were caught amidst betting allegations in 2013. FULL CRICKET SCORECARD: SRH vs RCB

CSK fans are probably the most aggressive and intense in IPL, and rightly so. Few teams have achieved as much in IPL. CSK had reached the final four 8 out of 8 times, reached the final 5 times, and won 2 out of them. CSK fans have continued to show support towards their team despite them being not a part of IPL for two seasons now. The 10th edition of IPL began with a match between defending champion Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) and previous season runners-up Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB). The buzz was expected to around one of the teams playing the opening match or about the opening ceremony, but CSK fans ensured their team trended on social media again with the tagline “CSK, The King of IPL”. Here are some tweets from CSK fans from social zone.
