Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC) announced a 15-member squad for upcoming three-match Twenty20 Internationals series against India. They have decided to leave out Lasith Malinga yet again. Malinga had made his international comeback in February after suffering a career-ending knee injury. Malinga did not play the ODI and T20Is against Pakistan as well after reaching the 300-wicket landmark against India.

Sri Lanka have included youngsters like Dushmantha Chameera, Nuwan Pradeep and Vishwa Fernando, who form the pace trio. Thisara Perera will continue to lead the side, with Angelo Mathews, Upul Tharanga and Kusal Janith Perera forming the crux of the side.

Suranga Lakmal has been rested, while Lahiru Thirimanne and Dhananjaya de Silva were left out. Dasun Shanaka, Niroshan Dickwella, Asela Gunaratne, Sadeera Samarawickrama, Akila Dananjaya and Sachith Pathirana continue to remain in the squad from the ODIs.
