Sri Lanka manage to reach 112 for four at Tea on Day Three of the third Test at Pallekele.Sri Lanka have established a decent lead of 174 runs in the process. Upul Tharanga scored a run-a-ball 48 and he was well supported by skipper Angelo Mathews, who is still unbeaten at the crease. They have not only managed to secure a healthy lead, they juts lost one wicket all session as well. Mathews and Jehan Mubarak have steadied the innings since Tharanga was dismissed by Yasir Shah. These two will have to get more runs to put their team in a comfortable position. Dinesh Chandimal is to follow after this but he has not been in particularly good form and Sri Lanka will not want to depend on him and the tail. Earlier Pakistan could just manage six runs to their overnight score as they were bowled out for just 213, conceding a lead of 65 runs. Sarfraz Ahmed top scored for Pakistan with 78 not out. Azhar Ali too had scored a good half-century earlier on Day TwoSri Lanka did not get off to the best of starts as Rahat Ali picked up a couple of wickets in the first session. Mathews and Mubarak were doing well but rains came in and the play had to stop, like it has from the beginning of the series.
Pakistan had won the toss on Day One and elected to bowl first. Both teams had made made four changes to their playing XI going into this game.
