Sri Lanka in ascendancy against Bangladesh at Tea on Day 2 of 1st Test

Sri Lanka in the second session of the second day’s play of their first first Test match against Bangladesh at Mirpur took a firm grip of the proceedings by taking the lead. Kaushal Silva remained not out on 111. Kumar Sangakkara was giving him company with 59 runs on the board. Sri Lanka now lead by five runs.
For Bangladesh, Shakib Al Hasan turned out to be the lone wicket taker. Rest of the bowlers struggled to make their mark.
Earlier on day one, after winning the all important toss, Sri Lanka cleaned up Bangladesh for just 232 and ended the first day’s play in a strong position with 60 for no loss. For Bangladesh, Mushfiqur Rahim top scored with 61. Shakib made a fine 55 as well.
