Sri Lanka were 17 for the loss of one wicket at the end of six overs in first One-Day International (ODI) against Pakistan at Hambantota when rain halted play. Kumar Sangakkara was batting on one and Upul Tharanga was batting on seven.
Tillakaratne Dilshan was out LBW to a Junaid Khan delivery. The Sri Lankan opener had reviewed the decision, but the review suggested he was out. Junaid Khan bowled an economical spell, giving away just six runs in his first three overs.
The tournament will give both teams ample opportunity to strike the right balance in their teams ahead of the ICC World Cup 2015.
