Sri Lanka vs Pakistan, 1st ODI at Hambantota: Sohaib Maqsood completes half-century

Sohaib Maqsood scored a gritty half-century against Sri Lanka, in the first ODI at Hambantota. Pakistan were struggling at 106 for the loss of five at one point, but Maqsood and Fawad Alam combined to give some hope to the visitors.
Earlier, Mahela Jayawardene and Angelo Mathews had combined to help Sri Lanka post an imposing total. The match was delayed by rain, resulting in a 45-over match.
Both teams will look to strike the right team balance ahead of ICC World Cup 2015.
