Sri Lanka vs Pakistan, 1st ODI at Hambantota: Tillakaratne Dilshan falls early

Pakistan will look to avenge the 2-0 defeat they suffered in the Test series.

Sri Lanka were 16 for the loss of 1 wicket at the end of five overs in the first One-Day International (ODI) at Hambantota. Kumar Sangakkara was batting on , and Upul Tharanga was batting on .

Tilakratne Dilshan was out LBW to a Junaid Khan delivery. He reviewed the decision, but the review suggested he was out. Earlier, Pakistan had been convincingly defeated in the two Test matches. The second Test match was significant as it marked Mahela Jayawardene‘s retirement from Test cricket.

The ODI series will give both teams an opportunity to strike the right balance ahead of ICC World Cup 2015.
