Dubai: Jan 8, 2014

Pakistan lost five wickets in the second session to reach 128 for six at tea on the opening day of the second Test against Sri Lanka in Dubai on Wednesday.

Sent into bat, Pakistan were 57 for one at lunch but lost five wickets for 71 runs as Sri Lankan pacemen exploited the conditions well at the Dubai stadium.

At tea, Sarfraz Ahmed was on six and with him Bilawal Bhatti had yet to open the mark.

Opener Khurram Manzoor topscored with 73 while first Test centurions Younis Khan (13) and Misbah-ul-Haq (1) failed to take charge of the proceedings.

All three Sri lankan pacers Shaminda Eranga, Nuwan Pradeep and Suranga Lakmal took two wickets apiece.

Brief scores:

Pakistan 128 for 6 ( Khurram Manzoor 73, Mohammad Hafeez 21, Younis Khan 13; Shaminda Eranga 2 for 19, Suranga Lakmal 2 for 26) vs Sri Lanka.
