Stuart Binny has scored a match-saving fifty on Test debut in the first Test against England at Trent Bridge on Sunday. India are 298 for seven with a lead of 259. Binny is batting on 60.
Binny came in after the dismissal of MS Dhoni for 11. England had picked three wickets quickly in the first session. Binny was the only batsman who looked completely assured and went for his shots with confidence.
Binny though could’ve ended being involved in two run-outs on debut when Jadeja tried to sneak a third run a somehow managed to scrape through. India looked more and more reassured as these two progressed steadily.
