After Skipper Suresh Raina and Cheteshwar Pujara steadied the ship with good calculated and and cautious cricket, Shakib al Hasan stuck a crucial breakthrough for Bangladesh against India in the 3rd One-day International (ODI) at Dhaka.  It was a contentious call by umpire Enamul Haque when the southpaw tried to sweep a turning delivery down the leg side and was caught by Mushfiqur Rahim . The Bangladesh players were cock-a-hoop and the umpire slowly raised his finger after the fielders persisted with their appeals. After a flurry of wickets in the early overs, Cheteshwar Pujara and Suresh Raina have steadied India with positive cricket at the same time being cautious about playing their shots on a rather difficult wicket.

Ealier, India were in deep trouble against Bangladesh to get shot out for yet another low score as they kept losing wickets at regular intervals and the Bangladesh bowlers were right on top of the batsmen.  Manoj Tiwary was the latest casualty for India in what was the batsman’s comeback game. Tiwary was guilty of fending the ball away from his body and it was a simple catch to Anamul Haque at second slip.

Earlier, The early overs for India were a struggle and Ajinkya Rahane and Robin Uthappa found it extremely hard to get things under way. There was plenty in it for the bowlers and it looked like it was only a matter of time before Bangladesh bowlers would strike. They struck and how. First Robin Uthappa got a thick edge of Mashrafe Mortaza and Ajinkya Rahane followed suit getting out in identical fashion off Al-Amin Hossain. The 19-year old sensation Taksin Ahmed then took off from where he left on his debut and got Ambati Rayudu off a peach before the downpour in Dhaka.

Earlier in the day, India won the toss and elected to bat in the dead rubber final ODI. Ziaur Rehman’s poor form meant that he made way for Sohag Gazi and Manoj Tiwary comes for India to shore up the middle order. He comes in place of leg-spinner Amit Mishra.
