Ravichandran Ashwin and Suresh Raina had a candid discussion with presenter Ayaz Memon from the sidelines of CEAT Cricket Rating (CCR) International awards 2017. Ashwin, who won the CEAT International Cricketer of the Year for the year 2017, revealed that Virat Kohli and Raina are the best singers and dancers in the team. The question then came to Raina, who was more specific with his answer. Raina was honest enough to admit that Kohli is a better dancer than him while he sings better.

While we have seen Kohli’s singing skills at an event in Bangladesh last year, Raina has gone on to lend his voice for Bollywood film — Meeruthiya Gangsters — where he sang the track, Tu Mili Sab Mila. “Virat is a better dancer no doubt while I have the edge when it comes to singing,” quipped Raina during the event.

We do have to agree with Raina. But here is how he set YouTube soaring post Yuvraj Singh’s wedding.

Ashwin and Raina went on to discuss further and revealed who is the messiest cricketer in the Indian team. The duo replied in unison, “Ishant Sharma.”

‘Camera phones, the worst invention’

Ashwin and Raina further went down the memory lane and recollected their days of fan-hood. Ashwin recalled taking his first autograph, and that was of Sunil Gavaskar. To Ashwin’s delight, the cricket stalwart was present for the award ceremony.

“I was a child and I managed to get into the commentary box at Chepauk to take Sunny-bhai’s autograph. I still have all the autographs I had collected as a child and they have a special place in my life,” recalled Ashwin.

Ashwin’s first autograph was in 2008. Understanding the relevance of autographs, he has has never denied one, and at the same time admitted that he has declined many selfie requests.

“I am not comfortable with selfies. You are having breakfast and someone asks for selfies. I am not comfortable. I think camera phones are the worst invention,” added Ashwin in jest.

Meanwhile, Raina cherishes the picture he got clicked with Brian Lara as a youngster. He also cherishes the moment when he got an autograph from Mohammad Kaif, someone with whom he went on to play many years for Uttar Pradesh and India.
