They had players like Faiz Fazal, Jaffer, Ganesh Satish, Rajneesh Gurbani, Sanjay Ramaswamy, Siddarth Kaul, Akshay Wakhare and likes who have rose as match-winners during this season.

Jaffer, especially has been in fine touch. He scored a record-breaking 286. In that process he went on accumulate 18,000 First-Class runs. Jaffer also went past Gundappa Viswanath’s record of most fifty-plus scores in Irani Cup.

Jaffer’s stay ended on Day 3 when he was bowled through the gate off a Kaul delivery. Continuing his momentum, Apoorv Wankhade slammed a fine century as well and is currently playing on 123*.

Vidarbha’s approach seems clear: they are looking to convert the match into a one-innings battle here.
