Former Australia David Warner has apologised for his action during the third Test between Australia and South Africa. Warner along with Steven Smith were handed a one-year ban by Cricket Australia, he was also named as chief instigator in the ball-tampering scandal.

“I can honestly say I have only wanted to bring glory to my country through playing cricket. In striving to do so I have made the decision which has had the opposite effect and it’s one that I will regret for as long as I live.”

Warner might consider appealing the ban handed over to him by CA.
