Team India wicket-keeper batsman MS Dhoni’s daughter Ziva repeats the name of Indian cities, which are being told to her by her mother Sakshi. Ziva, in a recent video, can be heard repeating names of cities such as Delhi, Kolkata, Chennai, Bangalore, Mumbai and Hyderabad. This could be Ziva’s way of preparing for the upcoming edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL), which begins from April 5. Incidentally, the names of the two new franchises Gujarat Lions (GL) and Rising Pune Supergiants (RPS) have not been mentioned, but Chennai finds a mention – a franchise Dhoni captained for eight straight years, before it was banned from participating in the IPL, due to allegations of spot-fixing. Dhoni led his new franchise in the previous edition of the tournament, but has been sacked for the upcoming edition. Australia skipper Steven Smith has been announced as the captain of RPS. Ziva was born when Dhoni was in Australia, leading India in a tri-series, which featured England and hosts Australia. India were scheduled to play their first game of the ICC World Cup 2015 a week later. Dhoni decided to stay on with the team and returned home to see his daughter only after India crashed out of the World Cup in the semi-final stage against eventual winners Australia. Dhoni gave up limited-overs captaincy of the Indian side earlier this year, but still continues to play in the side as a wicketkeeper under Virat Kohli’s leadership. Dhoni is currently leading the Jharkhand side in the Vijay Hazare Trophy 2016-17, where his side has made it to the semi-final. After this tournament, Dhoni will play in the IPL and then represent India in the Champions Trophy 2017 in England.
