Several Bollywood stars have come forward to slam Tanmay Bhat‘s video which made fun of batting great and a true gentleman Sachin Tendulkar and legendary singer Lata Mangeshkar. The video is just too derogatory in which Tendulkar can be seen using a very cheap language and slamming Virat Kohli. Lata Mangeshkar also speaks in a bad way and is seen having a verbal fight with Tendulkar, who does not talks in the right tone with her. In fact he calls her 5000-years-old. The images of the two celebrities are taken to create a morphed video with the help of some software. Actor Riteish Deshmukh said that he is totally shocked by the video. He added that disrespect can never be cool and/or funny. Celina Jaitly said that she is appalled and shocked, and she would want the video maker to render an apology. Anupam Kher, one of the finest actors of Bollywood said that he very well knows what sense of humour is as he has received the award for the best comic actor nine times in the past. He said what was shown in the video cannot be termed as sense of humour. Producer Tanuj Garg said that it’s a very shameful and demeaning act on the part of the makers of the video. He added that this cannot be called humour at all. It is largely believed that any kind of humour which tries to demean the other person rather than making him enjoy, cannot be said termed humour at all. A lot of people take on many celebrities through humour, but the intention is one thing which is very important. At the same time any humour cannot cross levels of human decency, care and respect.
All those involved in the making of this video should render an apology. They should be ashamed on what they have done. If public pressurises then this can be achieved soon.
