Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) hosted Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) in Match 30 of IPL 2016 at Bengaluru. It was a thrilling match as at one moment the game looked like it belonged to Virat Kohli and co. but with Yusuf Pathan’s blistering shots, KKR snatched victory from jaws of RCB. Amongst all the chaos, skipper Gautam Gambhir was found being animated on the field throwing his anguish on the chair, that could lead him to being fined. This is not the first instance Gambhir has been found in anger. He has shown anger against RCB skipper Virat Kohli earlier as well as Pakistan cricketer Shahid Afridi and Saurabh Tiwary. Yusuf Pathan was taking his side closer to victory with his presence finally being felt in this edition of IPL. Gambhir was getting all hyper as the situation was getting tense and at one such moment Gambhir just flooded it out when Yusuf smashed the ball for a boundary. Gambhir not only kicked the chair but also blurted out abuses. Gambhir is known to for his temperamental issues rather than his captaincy skills. If Gambhir gets fined, he could be in trouble especially when the team is on the verge to make it playoffs.
While Gambhir was showing off his anger, Kohli was silent and took the defeat in a spirited manner despite an all-round performance from RCB from his bowlers as well as batsman. After KKR’s 5-wicket win, they move to No.2 while RCB are lying below the table desperately looking for a win in this edition.
