India’s greatest batsman has been rested for the ongoing home series with Sri Lanka. India, on the other hand, displayed a helpless batting performance without their ace batsman Kohli against an inexperienced Sri Lanka side and lost the series opener of the three-match Twenty20 International (T20I) series. While questions have been raised over Indian batting’s dependence on the cricketer, skipper MS Dhoni tended to seek positives out of the loss.
