India Test captain Virat Kohli achieved new high in Tests, as he reached 3,000 runs in his 42nd game. He was just six runs away from achieving this feat before the start of the match. And it took him only 7 balls to get there, as he played a lovely cover drive; a Kohli special, they call it these days. He became the eight Indian to reach the milestone, the fastest being Virender Sehwag, who took only 55 innings compared to Kohli’s 73. Given the pace at which Kohli is excelling at such a young age, he, without any doubt, will attain many more achievements. FULL CRICKET SCORECARD: India vs West Indies 2016, 1st Test at Antigua

Before this Test, Kohli represented India in 41 Tests, scoring 11 centuries and 12 half-centuries, at 44.02. He was compared with the great Sachin Tendulkar, as he went on a ton-scoring spree in the early stage of his career. After MS Dhoni retired from the longest format, Kohli got the opportunity to lead India in Tests. He scored twin hundreds against Australia at Adelaide, proving that he thrives when given responsibilities. Though India lost the match, Kohli’s leadership skills impressed the entire cricketing fraternity. IND vs WI Live Streaming: Watch live telecast on Ozee.com
