It was a heart-break for hosts India, who lost by six wickets in the opening the three-match ODI series against visitors New Zealand at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai on Sunday. However, things were not quite serious between Virender Sehwag and Ross Taylor as they shared a friendly, yet hilarious banter on Twitter following New Zealand’s win. What was most interesting part of the banter was that Taylor replied to Sehwag in Hindi. It all started when Sehwag praised Taylor in handling the Diwali pressure well and called him ‘darji ji (tailor master)’, to which Taylor replied in Hindi and wished him Happy Diwali. Sehwag wrote in his tweet, “Well played @RossLTaylor Darji ji. Great effort after handling the pressure of Diwali orders.” Taylor replied saying, “Thanks @virendersehwag bhai agli Baar Apna order time pe Bhej dena so Mai Apko agli Diwali ke pehle deliver kardunga ….happy Diwali [Next time place your order on time so that I can deliver to you before next Diwali].”
To this Sehwag replied, ” Hahaha Masterji , is saal waali patloon hi ek bilaang choti karke dena next diwali pe. Ross the Boss, most sporting 🙂 No one can match up to your high standards of stitching Darji ji , whether it is a pant or a partnership @RossLTaylor.”
