Kings XI Punjab (KXIP) are at 20 for one after three overs against Mumbai Indians (MI) in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2014. Cheteshwar Pujara is batting on 15 and Wriddhiman Saha is on one. Virender Sehwag was only batsman dismissed run out for one. This is Match 22 of IPL 7. Punjab captain George Bailey won the toss and elected to bat first. Punjab named an unchanged team from their previous match against Royal Challengers Bangalore on April 28. For Mumbai, seamer Jasprit Bumrah replaced Pragyan Ojha.

Cheteshwar Pujara and Virender Sehwag opened the batting for Punjab. Zaheer Khan began proceedings for Mumbai. Zaheer bowled one on the pads and Pujara flicked the ball away over square-leg for a four to get the runs flowing. Jasprit Bumrah shared the new ball with Zaheer. Bumrah pitched one full and Pujara played a delightful cover drive for a four.

Sehwag then pushed one from Zaheer towards Corey Anderson at point. He misfielded, but Rohit Sharma picked up the ball and got a direct-hit at the bowler’s end and Sehwag was well short of the crease. Sehwag was run out for one from two deliveries. That did not deter Pujara, who drove a length delivery from Zaheer through extra-cover for a four.
