Virender Sehwag joined Twitter in November, 2009 after his retirement. Sehwag, soon became famous amongst his contemporaries because of his unique style and use of language on Twitter. He is mostly known for his ‘ViruPanti’s and witty posts that amuse one-and-all.

Sehwag recently expressed his happiness on reaching 15 million followers on twitter. The tweet read, ‘Feeling gratitude and not expressing it is like wrapping a present and not giving it. Extremely Grateful to each one of you 15 million for your love. I love Twitter and my love and best wishes to each one of you.‘

Sehwag became more famous off the field, when he took on commentary stint. He is best known for his on air debates with Shoaib Akhtar. He has also been involved in many social controversies that has gone to add on to his fame.
