Anushka Sharma turned 30 on May 1. A big part of her day was spent in anxiety. The Virat Kohli-led Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) had a rough run in the VIVO IPL 2018 and on Tuesday they faced Mumbai Indians (MI) at Bengaluru. It was only in the ultimate over of the match when Ansuhka and other RCB fans breathed a sigh of relief as Tim Southee’s inspiring bowling guided the side to a much-needed victory.

Even IPL’s Twitter handle could not help but post the well captured mood as Mrs Kohli broke into celebrations after RCB’s victory.

Kohli did not have a great outing with the willow, scoring just 32. RCB managed 167 for 7 courtesy late blows from Colin de Grandhomme. However, the RCB skipper marshalled his bowlers well as they pulled off a 14-run win. He also pulled off a stunning catch in the final over to send back Hardik Pandya.

The birthday celebrations continued post the match.

“My wife is here, it’s her birthday and it’s a little birthday gift to her. I’m glad she could enjoy the win watching from here and it’s very special to achieve 2 points in front of her,” Kohli said at the post-match presentation.

Later, Anushka posted a selfie on Instagram and wrote, “Best birthday with the bestest, kindest, bravest man in the world . Love you for making it so special my love ❤ !”

Earlier in the day, Kohli had tweeted:

Fans, for sure, are not minding the PDA. Kohli and Ansuhka tied the nuptial knots in Italy in last December. The Indian skipper and the successful Bollywood actor have dated since 2013 after featuring in a shampoo commercial.
