Sri Lanka’s Chamara Silva became a laughing stock on social media when his ambitious shot went horribly wrong. Playing for MAS Unichela, Silva tried the scoop-shot by going behind the stumps against a fast bowler. The Teejay Lanka bowler did not panic and bowled straight onto the stumps and made Silva look like a fool at P Sara Oval in Colombo.

However this is not the first time a batsmen has attempted such a shot. It was former Australian keeper Brad Haddin that attempted a similar shot against Pakistan’s Shoaib Akhtar in 2005.
