We have seen Gautam Gambhir showing his support to Indian army during the IPL season and even prior. This time, Gambhir in association with a popular radio channel has come out with a new campaign. Through an inspirational message, the Delhi batsman has asked the countrymen to end their ‘jhijhak’ (hesitation) and thank the army personnel often. Gambhir who is usually outspoken with regards to the issue of the nation, is seen with a tape on his mouth and placards with some questions asking the people if they love their soldiers. His campaign ‘Jhijhak ki Patti’ also asks people to share their selfies with army personnel’s with a specific hashtag.

The message of this video on his Twitter account read, “I have stepped out of my crease. Will you?” with the hashtag of #BharatPositive.” He tagged Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Major Gaurav Arya and the radio channel Fever FM. Gambhir had earlier pledged to take care of the entire educational expenses through his foundation for the children of martyred CRPF soldiers in the Sukma attack at Chhattisgarh. Gambhir’s team Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) were also seen sporting black arm bands during a match. That is not it. He had also expressed his anger on the brutal behaviour with a CRPF jawan at Kashmir.

The message on his Twitter account said, “For every slap on my army’s Jawan lay down at least a 100 jihadi lives. Whoever wants Azadi LEAVE NOW! Kashmir is ours.”

In a second message related to the video, Gambhir added, “Anti-Indians hav forgotten dat our flag also stands 4: saffron – fire of our anger, white – shroud for jihadis, green – hatred 4 terror.”
