During the first One-Day International (ODI) between India and Pakistan on November 5, 2007 at Guwahati, Pakistani batsman Shahid Afridi was confidently batting and in an over bowled by Sachin Tendulkar, he hit the second ball for four. Afridi hit that shot by stepping down the track. On the next ball, he took a single, which was followed by another single by Mohammad Yousuf.

On the fifth ball, Afridi came back on strike and before bowling, both Indian captain MS Dhoni and Tendulkar had a chat on where to pitch the next ball. Both Dhoni and Tendulkar perhaps knew that Afridi will step down once again for a boundary. Also Read: Misbah-ul-Haq rubbishes Shahid Afridi’s ‘no talent in Pakistan’ statement

Afridi ensured that their prediction comes true by stepping down the track to play an inside out shot for a boundary. But it was a wide delivery bowled by Tendulkar which the batsman could not touch and Dhoni clipped the bails off in less than a second.

Surely, it was an excellent work of plotting by captain Dhoni and Tendulkar. Relive that epic moment here:
