Watch James Faulkner take hat-trick against Sri Lanka in the 2nd ODI

The second One-Day International (ODI) between Sri Lanka and Australia at Colombo on Wednesday saw few records being scripted with the best being a hat-trick by Australian pacer James Faulkner. Faulkner steamed in and changed the course of the match in a span of two overs with his wily bowling. Though the game ended in Sri Lanka’s favour, Faulkner’s spell certainly made it to the highlights.

Faulkner scalped Kusal Perera on the last delivery of the 46th over and then removed Angelo Mathews on the very first delivery of the 48th over. He bowled a canny slower one to Thisara Perera to register a hat-trick and becoming the sixth Australian bowler have done so in ODIs. He is also the first bowler to take a hat-trick in ODIs without getting any batsman out for duck. ALSO READ: Sri Lanka’s biggest win over Australia in ODIs & 11 other interesting stats
