During the 10th game of the Caribbean Premier League 2016 between St Kitts and Nevis Patriots and Guyana Amazon Warriors at Providence on Saturday, Simmons batted with one single pad and grabbed all the headlines with this weird act. In the final eight overs, he got rid of his back pad and confronted the bowlers with one. Simmons also scripted history by scoring the slowest half-century, which came in just 60 deliveries.

Simmons was finally run out by Martin Guptill as his side posted 108 in 20 overs. Guptill came out all guns blazing and steered is side to a scintillating victory by smashing 43 from 22 deliveries.
