There are lots happening in Chennai presently. The city went through plenty of turmoil since the death of Jayalalitha. Post which, the whole Shashikala saga took place in 2017. Tamil Nadu was without a force who could take the ‘Amma’ legacy forward. However, 2018 has begun on a perfect note for Chennai. Their ‘ThalaivarRajinikanth decided to enter politics.

In the cricketing front, everyone knew Chennai Super Kings (CSK) would be back in action from IPL 2018. The surprises were unfolding one by one. CSK retained MS Dhoni, Suresh Raina and Ravindra Jadeja in the camp. Chennai was celebrating, of course, as cricket’s ‘Thala’ Dhoni will be seen in yellow again from April.

Rajinikanth has been going places to places to seek support from the local masses and international politicians. During one such event, Rajnikanth was asked to name his favourite Indian cricketer from the current lot. Rajinikanth without any hesitation named Dhoni as his favourite.

We have seen several instances where Rajinikanth and Dhoni come together for promotion of movies. Dhoni had visited Rajinikanth’s residence in 2016 to promote his biopic ‘MS Dhoni: The Untold Story.’ Rajinikanth had presented Dhoni with a Kanjivaram shawl. Dhoni, too, had promoted Rajinikanth’s ‘Kabali’ in his own way by posing like ‘Thalaivar.’
