West Indies beat Bangladesh comprehensively by 75 runs in the fourth One-Day Internationals at Dhaka on Friday to level the five-match series.
However, Mamuddulah led Bangladesh’s fightback with a gritty half-century. He added 74 runs with skipper Mushfiqur Rahim for the sixth wicket to revive their innings. However, the lower order didn’t provide enough support to Mahmuddulah as Bangladesh innings folded at 136.
Earlier, West Indies managed just 211 runs for the loss of nine wickets in 50 overs in the fourth One-Day International (ODI) match against Bangladesh at the Sher-e-Bangla stadium at Dhaka.
Bangladesh again managed to dismiss the dangerous Chris Gayle early. All the batsmen who got a start failed to convert their innings into a big knock.
Sammy top-scored for West Indies as he added 60 valuable runs (unbeaten) towards the end of the innings.
For the hosts, Mahmudullah starred with the ball picking up three wickets, conceding 46 runs.
Bangladesh have now tied the five-match ODI series 2-2.
Brief Scores: West Indies 211 for 9 in 50 overs (Darren Sammy 60*, Darren Bravo 34; Mahmudullah 3 for 46) bt Bangladesh 136 all-out 34.1 overs (Mahamuddullah 56*, Mushfiqur Rahim 27; Darren Sammy 3 for 28) by 75 runs
