England won the toss and decided to bat in the second Twenty20 International against West Indies at Bridgetown, Barbados on Tuesday. Sunil Narine has been rested and Stuart Broad too isn’t playing. England team will be led by Eoin Morgan. Moeen Ali and Stephen Parry have been handed their maiden T20 caps.
West indies had convincingly beaten England in the first T20I by 27 runs. the England batting had faltered against spinners Samuel Badree, Narine and Marlon Samuels.
Though Broad is out with a knee injury, he hoped his teammates will pull up their performance after the debacle in the last match. “West Indies outplayed us, there is no doubt about that. We shouldn’t let that take away from what we have done in the last couple of weeks and we have got time to improve in the next two games. We were pretty happy with 170, maybe it was a touch over par but we never got going with the bat. You need one of your top-3 to get in and that hasn’t happened for a while,” he said.
