On Day four of the second Test between India and New Zealand at Eden Gardens, Kolkata, hosts were struggling for wickets at the start of the final session of the match and somewhere it was looking that the Kiwi batsmen may do something extra-ordinary. At that moment, Indian captain Virat Kohli, who was fielding in the outfield, was seen interacting with the spectators at the stadium to motivate and cheer the Indian players in order to get quick wickets and finish up the game. Although, the chase was next to impossible but in cricket anything can happen and Kiwi batsmen were looking for that.
There was a healthy partnership for first two wickets. Indian spinners were not getting much turn and all fans, Indian players and commentators alike wanted the game to end on the same day. At that time, crowd came into action when captain Kohli signalled spectators to get behind the team and cheer for it as loud as they can. The crowd of Eden Gardens Stadium is said to be one of the most sporting and boisterous crowds and that they probably proved on Day four of the match.
