Yuvraj Singh has been out of the India Test squad for sometime now. The Indian Test team have not been at their best for a few years now save a the four nil hammering of Australia in India in 2013 and a few victories against New Zealand and West Indies.
In an interview with Indian Express Yuvraj threw light on his comeback into the team after he fought off cancer, on captaincy and the Indian team.
Yuvraj reckoned the retirement of big stars has been one reason for India not being at their best in Tests over the last few years. “I think there has been a shift in Test cricket. Big guns like Ganguly, Laxman, Dravid and Tendulkar retired and left space to fill. It will take some more time for the Indian team to fill that space. I have always maintained that Test cricket is tougher,” he said.
