Younis Khan became the third batsman for Pakistan in the history of Test cricket to score 8,000 plus runs. He achieved this feat against Australia on day two of the ongoing second Test at Abu Dhabi.
Pakistan are currently 474 for the loss of three with Younis batting on 181 alongwith skipper Misbah-ul-Haq on 85. While being well on course to score a double hundred in the match, he could well put Pakistan in a commanding position with a big total and could put Australia on the back foot.
He became the third batsman after Javed Miandad and Inzamam-ul-Haq to achieve the feat. Javed Miandad (8832) and Inzamam-ul-Haq (8829) are the only two batsman ahead of him at the present moment.
