Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) star man Yusuf Pathan will feature in the Dhaka Premier League, having signed for Abahani Limited. Pathan was one of the star batsman of IPL 2016, having scored 361 runs at an average of 72.20. He will join Bengal skipper Manoj Tiwary — who signed for the club after he remained unsold in the IPL 2016 auction — and Manvinder Bisla, teammate of Pathan at KKR from 2010-12 and 2014-15 . The DPL also has other Indian players Jalaj Saxena, Ashok Menaria and Rajat Bhatia. Pathan’s KKR teammate Shakib Al Hasan will also be involved, having not played a single game for them in the past six years. Pathan has been in terrific form this season. He was in brilliant nick during the recently concluded IPL 2016. Unlike the past seasons, Pathan bought a change in his style. He played the role of an anchor early on in his innings, before taking on the bowlers. And the change in approach worked perfectly for him, as he managed to score 361 runs for his team. The best aspect about his batting was the fact his average was 72.20. He stayed on till the end and won many matches for his side.

Abahani Limited are currently placed at 6th position after nine matches. They have been boasted by the return of Pathan’s IPL teammate Shakib, who is set to feature for them. The team also have Sri Lankan Chamara Kapugedera. Mosaddek Hossain is the leading run-scorer for the team, which is led by seasoned Bangladeshi batsman Tamim Iqbal.
