Zimbabwe were 134 for the loss of 3 wickets at the end of 30 overs in the first One-Day International (ODI) between Zimbabwe and Afghanistan held at Bulawayo. Elton Chigumbura was batting at 1 run, and Sean Williams was batting at 33 runs.
Shapoor Zadran gave Afghanistan a good start dismissing Vusi Sibanda. Sikandar Raza was looking good for the hosts before retiring hurt in the 22nd over. However, the visitors failed to capitalise on it.
Afghanistan failed miserably with the bat initially with only Noor Ali Zadran showing some resistance. Mohammad Nabi and Samiullah Shenwari combined to help the visitors post a respectable total.
