Zimbabwe were 84 for two at the end of 20 overs, with Sikandar Raza and Brendan Taylor currently at the crease having scored 36 and 29 respectively. Afghanistan pacers Shapoor and Dawlat Zadran picked the early wickets and finished their five-over spells conceding 10 and 26 runs with a wicket each in their kitty.
The 57-run partnership between Raza and Taylor helped relax the Zimbabwean nerves, with the required run-rate currently at a comfortable 4.68. The duo hit 10 fours in an innings which was balanced in every way and look all set to reach their half-centuries soon.
The Zadrans aside, the Afghan bowling has looked pretty ordinary so far. While none of the bowlers except the two has bagged a victim so far, Mirwais Ashraf was expensive as he conceded 17 runs off 4 overs.
