Afghanistan set Zimbabwe a target of 257 runs, in the second One-Day International (ODI) of the four-match series at Queens Sports Club, Bulawayo. Usman Ghani shined for the visiting team scoring 118 runs off 143 balls. Ghani hit 12 fours and a six in his innings, before being dismissed by Shingi Masakadza.
Unfortunately for Afghanistan, no other batsman was able to perform well. Only Rahmat Shah and Mohammad Nabi showed him support, and both of them scored 22. Gulbadin Naib and Dawlat Zadran batted well in the death overs to get the visitors to a competitive total.
Zimbabwe used a total of eight bowlers, with Sikandar Raza, Hamilton Masakadza and Tinashe Panyangara taking two wickets each. Masakadza was also economical and gave away just 37 runs in his 10 overs.
