Aaron Finch scored 156 to break Brendon McCullum’s record for the highest score in a T20 International  (T20I). Finch completed his century in 47 balls, and hit 14 sixes and 11 fours in his innings.

Finch played some outrageous shots in his innings, and dispatched Joe Root for three sixes and two boundaries in a single over. Perhaps, he would have reached a much higher score, had he not been bowled by Jade Dernbach in the 18th over.

Finch’s knock helped Australia post an imposing total of 248,  which England failed to chase despite Joe Root scoring 90 off 49 balls.
